Classroom moments

We had a fantastic second week of school. Everyone began to get used to the new routines in our new classroom.

Rawiri made sure he kept an eye on what was happening in sports during the week. We work on leisure skills at lunch breaks. Rawiri's favourite thing to do is to use the computer.

We did lots of work too. Everyone is learning to type their names using Proloquo-2-Go on I-Pads. Kyle figured it out on his first try.

 Yes Kyle, you are awesome!

We decided to make pancakes this week. Joshua and Alex were both fascinated by the eggs.

Rawiri dried the dishes without any assistance. Even better, he was only asked to help once and got onto the job. He put all of the dishes away too. Thanks Rawiri!

Aimee-Lee was extremely pleased with the finished pancakes. She helped to share them out so everyone who wanted one had a taste.

During week two we had our first swim for the year. We went to Jellie Park and had a great time in the outdoor pool. We also visited our garden at the Hohepa Farm to check out where we are going to be doing our Transition garden programme. We made a plan for our next few visits. Next week we'll need to do a lot of weeding.

I hope everyone had a happy Valentine's Day!
